Latest new in Point City

A 11 year old boy died because of B11N11 on Monday. After the scientists had done   thorough a examination, they realized that this is a new and different virus strain from H11N10. It is more dangerous and easier to spread from person to person.

So far reported 10 suspected B11N11 cases have been reported since March. Three people tested positive of the virus; all three belonging to Point City. Though the number of suspected cases is on the rise, the district health department is yet to receive any vaccines. If we receive any latest news from the Health Department, we will immediately provide updates! So all patients, please be patient.

Last year, there were, among 90 patients suspected of cases of B11N10, 21 patients found positive. The district had recorded one patient death in 2014.

Meanwhile, the Point district administration last Sunday reviewed the situation and asked officials to create awareness. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends all residents in the area must be aware about how to prevent more people get infected. Below that are the few way help to prevent H1N11 and limit its spread:

·       .-Stay home if you're sick

·       -Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. 

·       -Contain your coughs and sneezes. 

·       -Avoid contact with and stay always from crowd. 

·       -Reduce exposure within your household. If a member of your household has swine flu.

Dr.Yoki Chim had written to the state health department to provide vaccines to health workers treating these patients. To confirm whether the patients have contracted B11N11, the samples are sent to Point Damansara Hospital. He also mentions that once such a laboratory is set up in Point, it will help doctors treat patients much better. Once we have  more information about it we will post up immediately.

Task 4

Unpredictable City

For me, my ideal future city will have more high technology .I will call it “ Unpredictable City”.  Technology will be so advanced that it will be nearly invisible, and it will be more highly personalized. Other than that, air pollution will be controlled and fresh air will be everywhere. Changes in our society in past years have a big impact to us. A generation ago, if people want to go to a distant destination, they have to ride a vehicle or take public transport, in order to get to their destination. So in my ideal future city there will be a fast way to go to other places other times by using time-machine or using a teleportation mirror with which we can reach our destination with just a press of a button! The price of the ticket will be very reasonable. The risk of road accidents will be totally reduced. In this way we won't face the problem of having to refil petrol all the time, or

vehicle maintenance expenses. Beside that we will be very environmentally friendly. A resources-renewable dustbin will be provided to every house! It can renew all rubbish, wether plastic or food. The system renews everything. Using this, the amount of rubbish will be reduce. Other than that, it can help keep our populations small. The problem of endangered species will be solved as well! So our new generation will have the chance to see animals that might otherwise have become extinct. In past years, human fell tree in great quantities in the name of development and this has resulted in worsening Global Warming day by day. In my ideal city there is a miraculous liquid that exists and just a spoonful of that liquid can let a small tree grow to become a bigger tree in just a few days. There will be less tall buildings, not like now, and less numbers of cars that you can see on highways. But in that future, there will be many new structures, buildings, and

even floating buildings, everywhere, like an air-balloon, each building equipped with auto-drive ability. So, we can fly to any place on this Earth just by entering the destination into the GPS of the auto-drive system. Moreover there will be a lot of newly designed cars that can be driven in the air, and streets in the cities will be filled with big billboards that really are big screen Televisions. Our appliances will be more easy to use in the future because of high technology. Our mobile phones in the future will be transparent and can be used to help us operate everything automatically.

Finally, if we have money but don't have a healthy body, we have no chance to enjoy ourselves with the fortune. In my future city, babies will have a gold plaque called “ personal helpcare “ that will be inserted in the body. If that body then experiences any disease, the device will alert you immediately. However, the future is unpredictable. Why can't we witness some thing that is amazing with the helping hand of scientists and inventors?

Task 3

Magic Water

There is a bottle of magic water in this castle. It can let a woman, even an old woman, become the most beautiful girl in the world! There is only one bottle of magic water kept in the castle and only the King and princess are allowed to drink from it. This makes every girl want to be the princess, and everyone else curious about the water.

Alice is the beloved child of a widowed aristocrat who lives in a miserable environment, but she is always optimistic. She is a kind and gentle young woman. Even wild animals like to approach her. Edwin is Alice’s father who anxious for daughter to have a mother’s love. He marries Lady Winnie, a cold and cruel woman with two daughters from a previous marriage: Christine and Windy. After her father dies of a heart attack, Alice’s stepmother marries a rich guy, who abuses and mistreats Alice, and ultimately reduces her to being a maid in her own home.

One day, while Alice is preparing dinner, Lady Winnie’s wicked cat chases a cockroach in the kitchen. The cockroach drops into a teacup. Alice delivers dinner to her stepfamily, unfortunately unaware that the cockroach is in one of the teacups. Angry, at what she thinks is a joke, Windy, who was the one to get that teacup, tells his mother about this. Lady Winnie punishes Alice with extra chores. All the maids in this house felt pity for Alice, in her situation.

Meanwhile, at the royal place, the King talks to Prince Andrew, his favourite son, about settling down and having children. They organize a function to help find a suitable wife for the prince in a way that would not arouse anyone's suspicion about what they were doing. Alice asks her stepmother if she can attend the function. Lady Winnie agrees, provided Alice finishes her chores and finds a nice dress to wear. Alice finished her chores but all the beautiful gown are already chosen by Windy and Christine. 

Just as Alice is about to give up hope, Alice’s real mother appears to comfort her, reminding her that a person with a loving heart who perseveres, is always beautiful. At the function, every visitor wears their beautiful and smart clothes, except for Alice. Alice wears a plain, white gown. All the girls try to show off their beauty that night, but none of them get the attention of the prince. The prince rejects every girl until he sees Alice. Both of them have a happy conversation and the Prince is attracted by Alice's loving heart. The two fall strongly in love and dance all over the castle’s grounds until the clock starts to chime at midnight.

After few weeks, Alice and the Prince celebrate their wedding but Alice does not drink the magic water that now belongs to her. She gives it to her respected mother because she thinks that her mother needs the magic water more than she does. Finally Alice’s mother becomes the most beautiful woman. Alice and the Prince live happily ever after.

Task 1

Myself

I was born into a normal family. There are five members of our family, an elder brother and an elder sister besides my parents and myself. I love my family very much in particular my parents as they have given me a happy family environment to grow up in.  

I was very glad to be given a good name (Ng Shi Kai) by my parents. Even so I still have weird nick-name (Sakai) created by my secondary school partner in crime, who made my secondary school life so wonderful. I like sport, so I joined many sport activities whilst at school. Sports no only can improve my bodies’ health, but it can also can enlarge my circle of friend. During competitions, I would make new friends and improved my skill.

Todays, I am a junior in Point College. Which leads me more near to my goals. I am currently enrolled in a course in Digital Animation. Everyone tells me that I am a good student. My other pleasure is that  I like to draw. I am currently trying my best to get a scholarships which is provided by this college to cover my tuition fees as my goal is that I can become a respected professional in my chosen fields in future.

I believe that I am a responsible and a hard-working student. Moreover, being a sociable person, I have many friends since I like to communicate with people and get to know new interesting individuals. I am enjoying my time at college: it is really nice to study and the students are very friendly and ready to help. The atmosphere of the college and people involved makes me want to go there every time. I like a challenge that extend my knowledge and force me to learn. My strong point is that I am a very enthusiastic student.

My friends say that I am a very crazy at times but an interesting person with a good sense of humor. As soon as I meet new people who are friendly, I feel extremely relaxed with them. I believe that friendship is one of the most important values in human life. We exchange new ideas, find many interesting things about each other and experience new things. I appreciate friendship of people who surround me.
